At OK Positive, we share a set of core values – Connection, Courage, Communication and Commitment – which underpin everything we do.

Connection

We want to create a platform that connects with the people who use it. Through using the application, managers can connect in a meaningful and reciprocal way with their employees. We want to form mental health networks that support each other in and out of the workplace.

Communication

We believe that communication around mental health needs to be brought to the surface in the workplace, and through OK Positive, we aim to do this. We are open and honest with each other about our thoughts in all that we do, and we want to help you to empower your people to feel safe about doing so too.

Courage

We believe that if we have the courage to create this platform and pour ourselves into it, we can enable those struggling with their mental health to do the same. It’s OK to not feel OK. Our app encourages self-awareness, which we hope will encourage individuals to have courageous conversations.

Commitment

We are committed: to alleviating suffering, changing narratives around mental health, building the most user-friendly product possible, and listening to any and all feedback. We are committed to each other as a team to deliver this with a culture encouraging learning and development.

Our Story

Our founder Charlie Winton, was working in a highly stressful job, within the financial sector and, despite being successful, was secretly suffering from mental health issues. Others saw him as happy, enthusiastic and competent, where in reality Charlie was struggling with feelings of constant overwhelm and silently dealing with panic attacks. Presenteeism became the norm as he struggled through the days.

Like millions of others he felt unable to talk to his manager or seek help. After a year of struggling Charlie left his job and sought out the help he needed.

Knowing he could help other like him, formed OK Positive, with the goal of providing a world class INSERT HERE PLEASE COLIN

A chance meeting with David Fox, founder of Offshore Titans and a 20 year veteran of the energy industry, identified their synergy and with Covid-19 they agreed mental health issues and costs to the energy business were set to explode.

David reached out and asked his mentor Colin Anderson a 39 year veteran of the energy industry to join him in a meeting and demonstration of the the OK Positive app.

After the demonstration Colin and David agreed, they were simply blown away by the potential, both realising what they had seen was a very powerful, important and proactive communications tool.

As managers within the energy industry, they both recognised the importance of honest, up to date information and communication and the difficulties encountered within the industry to achieve this.

They realised the app is a weapon and a win-win for all.

Not only does it identify, support and improve employee mental health but empowers the CEO, officers and managers to finally get the necessary truth in real-time as to what is actually happening in their company.
